Gospel Artist Deny Leading Michael Jackson to Christ

On June 25th the world stood in amazement as it was announced that
pop star Michael Jackson died. Many just could not believe that the
pop icon had actually died, especially just before his newest tour was
about to kick off. To top that, what caused others to stand in
disbelief was the news that was recently shared by two well known
gospel artists.

Andrae and Sandra Crouch announced that despite the rumors
circulating that they led Michael Jackson to Christ before his
death, that it was not actually the case. According to Andrae,
"Andrae and Sandra did in fact visit with Michael Jackson 2 times,
once in the recording studio, and once at his home in the last 2 months".
At that time, "asking for prayer concerning the anointing of the Holy
Spirit, and how he could make his music more ‘spiritual'."

  • Do you have any thoughts as it relates to Michael Jackson and eternity?
  • Can fame, prestige, and acclaim bring eternal security?
  • If an unsaved person could read your post right now, what would you tell them concerning the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus?

  1. Wow! Thank you for posting these life evaluating questions for people to read while they still have the opportunity to think and act on these life altering questions. It is hard to speculate on someone's life and relationship with God when all you know of them is based on rumors. However, I wonder how lucid of a relationship you can have with anyone when you are so heavily sedated and under the influence of drugs. My fear is that he leaned so heavily on drugs and could make temporary solutions to major God-solution-only problems with his money and influence, that he never got to a point where he could seek out a true relationship with God. No matter the tabloids, rumors, and speculation, it is clear that all the money and influence in the world cannot replace the gap that WILL exist without a relationship with God.

  2. The after thought of this tragic situation has gripped the minds and hearts of people all around the world. The grim reality of death and the after life not only touch the lives of the nameless but also those with the status of stardom. It is time to live every breathing second to the fullest and know that in order to experience heaven one must have relationship with Jesus Christ!

  3. As I say your post. After viewing the services, I was utterly amazed how JESUS was magnified at the beginning and at the end. When the pastor had everyone grab hands for the closing prayer in Jesus' Name.. If no one had ever heard the name on that day he was magnified, not with emotions but with purpose. What do you think?
